What Can Sober Chaperon Services do for You?

Drug Intervention: An Unavoidable Truth

Addicts will face some sort of drug intervention at some point during their cycle of addiction. Whether it is a thoroughly planned one or more impromptu meeting, addiction is something that cannot be hidden. An effective drug intervention is a wake-up call to what behaviors need to be changed. Even though an addict may feel that it is easier to continue living life in this manner, it is surely not. It may seem like a scary decision, but it is effort well-worth the labor. Sooner or later, their addiction will take the best away from them if nothing is done.

A Blissful End to Addiction with a Sober Chaperon

A sober chaperon is available to help an addict during their time in rehab or after rehab. Depending on the level of intensity of the addiction, the chaperon may serve different purposes. Overall, their goal is to keep a recovering addict healthy and sober. If you are familiar with the recovery process or are in recovery yourself, you can put your experiences to good use. Addicts can better relate to people who have been in their situation. Together this bond will help them gain an understanding of what life can be like without addiction.

Why Choose a Sober Coach?

Many may be unfamiliar with the purpose of a sober coach. If you’re uncertain about the role that they play, you’ll be glad to know that they serve a positive influence. In sports, the function of a coach is to guide players and use a strategy that will help them win the game. When it comes to addiction, a sober coach is also the main motivator. They will give addicts advice and support while overseeing their recovery process. Instead of winning a game, a sober coach helps addicts win the battle against addiction.

Addiction Treatment Doesn’t Save Son Of Ryan O’Neal From Prison

It seems like it happens every day: Some Hollywood star gets into trouble with drugs, has some embarrassing public incident, goes into  an addiction center and walks out a rehabilitated member of society.  However, it isn’t so often that you hear about the troubles of the children of Hollywood actors, one such story is the events playing out with Redmond O’Neal, son to Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Faucett.

At this time, Redmond O’Neal faces six years in prison after his arrest on felony drug charges in late December. The son of the late Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal was arrested Dec. 29  after he returned to his inpatient addiction treatment center under the influence of drugs after a day pass. The charge was filed after staff members noticed that Redmond was acting different when he returned to his drug alcohol rehab after his first 24-hour pass. A judge Tuesday ordered O’Neal back to Wayside Detention Center for 30 days while the charges are considered. He’ll return to court Feb. 2. Redmond, 24, has battled drug problems for years, and was sober for six months before the Dec. 29 relapse.
