Illegal drugs are everywhere, there’s no doubt about that. But we seldom care about people around us with drug problems. If we don’t know them then we don’t and won’t care about them. We just let them be, and in that way we think they won’t care either. But that’s what we’re wrong. As long as we let them do what they do, they would build up that confidence to go on and on.
With this way of thinking, we create a gap between individuals who are sober and individuals who are addicted to substance. We only look into the situation when one of our family members or someone close to us has the same problem. Only then will we do something about it like putting them in treatment centers and having them undergo counseling. This isn’t the way things should be. We should have that initiative and care outside our own boundaries so we can reach out to the people around us in dire need of help. Though sometimes it’s a risk, but we won’t know how things will go unless we try and do it. We as part of a community who want to live in harmony should make it a part of us to care for others. There are multiple resources and affordable drug treatment options to steer addicts away from this type of thinking.
Ignoring them so that they won’t bother us is not as good as helping them and teaching them the right way. Even though it might take an extra effort, the outcome is worth it. The best affordable drug treatment for them is showing them that we care and that we won’t let them destroy their lives.
